Mad Max — one last run across the burning wasteland
Mad Max is an open world built from rust, sand and the roar of engines. Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive released it on September 1, 2015, and it's still one of the most atmospheric vehicular sandboxes out there: a vast wasteland, a cult of gasoline, gangs of maniacs and your own war machine that you build practically from scrap. Here you buy the full game as a Steam gift — it lands straight in your library, ready to install.
What the game is about
You play Max, a lone survivor whose everything, including his car, was taken by Scrotus' gang. What follows is a story of revenge and survival: you build the Magnum Opus, the perfect war car tuned to your style, and roam a huge territory where every stretch of the wasteland lives by its own rules. You seize enemy camps, topple sniper towers, lower the threat level in zones and slowly take the wasteland back from the gangs. It's a single-player open-world story game — no multiplayer, just you, the road and the static on the radio.
The car is the real star
The Magnum Opus is the heart of Mad Max. Body, engine, ram, wheels, harpoon, turbo, hull armor — all of it is installed and upgraded to match how you fight. Like ramming things — build a heavy frame with a spiked bumper. Prefer maneuvering — strip the car down and chase speed. The harpoon alone is a joy: rip doors off enemy cars, pull down towers and yank drivers out on the move. Max himself levels up too — health, melee combat with that signature hit-and-counter flow, gear. Progress feels real: by the finale you go from a beaten drifter to the terror of the wasteland.
Combat and sandstorms
The on-foot melee plays like rhythmic duels — block, counter, finisher — but the true gem is the vehicular combat. Run down a convoy, ram it, tear a panel off with the harpoon, shotgun the fuel tank — every road clash turns into a little action set piece. On top of all that, sandstorms with lightning and flying debris roll in now and then: visibility drops, but a storm can hide rare resources if you're brave enough to dive in.
How Steam gift delivery works
Mad Max comes to you as a Steam Gift, not a key. After the order our bot adds itself to your friends via the invite link, sends the gift and removes itself from friends after delivery — you don't need to accept the request. The whole thing usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout. All you do is accept the gift in Steam, and the full game appears in your library.
Steam Guard isn't required for this: the gift can be sent to an account without it. The one thing to check in your profile settings is that adding friends via the invite link (s.team/p/...) is allowed.
Regions: pick yours
We offer two gift options that differ only by Steam region: Region 1 and Region 46. The golden rule of Steam gifts is that the gift region must match your account region, otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. Your account region is shown in Steam settings (store country). Choose the option that matches your country and you'll have no trouble accepting it.
Key condition: the game must not be in your library
Steam won't let you accept a full-game gift on an account that already owns the game — even if it's just sitting there unplayed. So send Mad Max only to an account that doesn't own it yet. This is the number one reason gifts "won't accept", and checking it takes thirty seconds.
Performance and platform
Mad Max is well optimized for its era and runs comfortably on modern hardware. Valve marks it as Steam Deck Verified — it launches and plays great on the handheld with no setup fiddling. On PC you get a stable framerate, gorgeous wasteland sunsets and that distinctive sandy look the game is remembered for.
