LORT โ a co-op action roguelite in a cursed fantasy world
LORT is a loud co-op action roguelite from Big Distraction that launched in Steam Early Access on January 21, 2026. One to eight players storm a cursed fantasy world, carve through hordes of enemies, grab loot and stack one ridiculous power-up on top of another until the hero turns into a walking disaster. Here you buy the full game and receive it as a Steam gift โ it drops straight into your library.
What LORT is about
At its core LORT runs a classic roguelite loop: every run is built from procedurally generated levels, and your own choices decide which enemies and bosses you'll face. You pick the route, grab weapons โ swords, wands, bows, guns โ and swap between them mid-fight to build combos. The signature hook is over a hundred stackable power-ups: modest on their own, but in a stack they turn a run into a fireworks show of damage. Bosses arrive with their own attack patterns, and a revive mechanic keeps the squad standing even when things fall apart.
Solo or a squad of up to eight
LORT plays fair whether you're alone or in a big group. A solo run is a thoughtful roguelite where every choice is on you. Co-op for 1โ8 players, on the other hand, becomes controlled chaos: eight screens of power-ups, crossfire, last-second rescues and shared loot. The bigger the squad, the denser the mayhem โ and the funnier the builds break once all those power-up stacks start working together.
What the gift includes
You get the base version of LORT โ the full Early Access game, with every class, weapon, boss and progression system available right now. Early Access means the developers keep adding content and tuning balance, and as the owner you receive all future updates of this stage at no extra cost. No cut-down demo โ it's the same game that sits on the Steam store.
How we deliver LORT (Steam Gift)
We send LORT through Steam Gift using a bot. We need two things from you: your Steam friend invite link and your account region. The bot then adds itself to your friends โ no need to accept the request manually โ sends the gift, and automatically leaves your friends list once it's delivered. The whole thing usually takes a couple of minutes after checkout, but we don't promise a hard deadline: sometimes it's a touch longer.
Region and account conditions
The key rule for a gift: your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. The second condition is that LORT must not already be in that account's library โ a gift won't land on a game you already own. And a nice detail โ Steam Guard is not required to accept the gift, nor is owning the game or any activity on the account. The only thing that matters is that friend invites are allowed in your profile settings.
Who LORT is for
If you love co-op roguelites where a modest hero grows into a wrecking machine within a single run, LORT is your kind of game. It's close in spirit to other co-op action and roguelite titles in our catalog: check out Deep Rock Galactic if you value tight squad combat, or Risk of Rain 2 and Vampire Survivors if you enjoy stacking power-ups and snowballing into raw strength. LORT takes the best of those genres and pushes the chaos to eight players at once.
Progression and replayability
A roguelite lives on repeated runs, and LORT is no exception. Every attempt is a fresh mix of levels, enemies and dropped power-ups, so building two identical runs is practically impossible. Meta progression carries between attempts: you gradually unlock new options, weapons and build paths, so even a failed run pushes you forward. Three playable classes set different play styles, and a hundred-plus power-ups leave room to experiment โ from careful survival builds to outright broken stacks that delete bosses in seconds. That unpredictability and the constant "just one more run" pull are what keep the game in rotation for a long time.
Technical notes and platform
LORT releases on PC via Steam, so the gift lands in your regular Steam library and launches like any other game in the client. Co-op runs over the network โ gather friends through Steam and start a shared run. Since it's Early Access, system requirements and the feature set may still shift from update to update โ that's a normal stage in a game's life, and you receive all updates of this period together with your purchase.
