Left 4 Dead 2: co-op against the horde
Left 4 Dead 2 is Valve's co-op zombie shooter, released on 17 November 2009 and still filling lobbies today. Four survivors β Coach, Ellis, Nick and Rochelle β fight their way across an infected American South, from the Louisiana swamps to neon streets and flooded districts. The loop is simple and gripping: get from one safe room to the next alive, then survive the assault and escape at the end of each campaign. Here you buy the full game on Steam β we send it straight to your account through a bot.
Why people still play it
The secret behind its replayability is the AI Director. It decides on the fly where the horde gathers, how many supplies you find and which special infected to throw at you. So a run through the same map feels different every time: quiet and empty one moment, a corner full of zombies the next. Add an arsenal that runs from shotguns and grenade launchers to a frying pan and a katana, plus melee, med-kits, pills and adrenaline, and you get a pace where teamwork matters more than a lone player's reflexes.
The special infected that demand a team
A crowd of common infected is dangerous through sheer numbers, but the real pressure comes from the specials. The Smoker drags you off with its tongue, the Hunter pounces and pins you, the Jockey steers you into danger, the Charger scatters the group, the Spitter floods the floor with acid, and the Witch is best left alone. You can't break free of them solo β someone has to pull the grab off a teammate. That's exactly why Left 4 Dead 2 shines with a full squad of four.
Campaigns, modes and Versus
The game ships with several story campaigns tied into one road to rescue, plus standalone modes: timed Survival, Scavenge for fuel cans, and of course Versus, where one team plays the survivors and the other the special infected. Over the years updates and community campaigns like The Last Stand were added, so there's noticeably more content than at launch. If you enjoy Valve co-op, check out Portal 2 and its co-op campaign, the original Left 4 Dead, or the team-based Team Fortress 2.
Which gift option to pick
The card has several options, and picking the right one matters. The regular options are the full international version of Left 4 Dead 2 for different Steam regions. The option marked (DE) is the German low-violence build: it historically strips blood, dismemberment and some effects because of local age-rating rules. The good news: since January 2021 the German version pulls a free DLC that restores the full international visuals β but this option is meant for accounts with a German region.
About the Commercial License
The βCommercial Licenseβ option stands apart: it is not another copy of the game for home use. It's a Steam commercial license for public display β gaming cafΓ©s, PC bangs, libraries and venues in the Steam PC CafΓ© program. If you just want to play at home with friends, you don't need it: pick an option from the βGame editionsβ tab.
How we deliver the gift
Delivery goes through Steam Gift. You provide your friend invite link and your account region, place the order, and our bot adds itself to your friends and sends the gift, usually within a couple of minutes. You don't need to accept the friend request, Steam Guard isn't required, and once the gift arrives the bot leaves your friends list on its own. All that's left is to accept the gift in Steam β and the game lands in your library.
What to check before ordering
Two conditions cover almost every possible hiccup. First: your Steam account region must match the region of the gift option you picked. Second: Left 4 Dead 2 must not already be in your library β Steam won't accept a gift for a game you already own, and that's the number-one reason a delivery fails. Also make sure friend invites are allowed in your privacy settings, otherwise the bot can't reach you. Do those three checks and receiving the gift is painless.
Where to play
Left 4 Dead 2 runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and on Steam Deck it's rated Playable, so you can take it on the go too. It's the native Steam version: after you accept the gift it installs and updates through Steam as usual, with cloud saves and a Workshop full of thousands of mods.
