Hunt: Showdown 1896 โ€” Steam Gift

About the game

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is Crytek's grim extraction shooter: the Louisiana bayou of the late 1800s, a hunt for bounty, monsters and rival Hunters who would happily take both your loot and your life. Death is permanent, and every raid is a tense game of cat and mouse. You get the game as a Steam gift โ€” our bot adds itself as a friend and sends it to your account.

Once the gift is delivered it cannot be refunded. If Steam rejects the gift due to region mismatch, the full amount is returned to your site balance.
Available items are processed automatically. Any issues will be resolved starting from 9:00 MSK.

Your Steam account region must match the gift region, and the game must not already be in your library. Pick the variant for your region.

FAQ

Hunt: Showdown 1896 โ€” buy it as a Steam gift delivered by bot

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is Crytek's unforgiving extraction shooter, where you head out for bounty in the cursed bayous of late-1800s Louisiana. It does not forgive mistakes: a Hunter's death is final, and only the one who reaches extraction alive walks away with the prize. On this page you take the game as a Steam gift, and our bot handles delivery โ€” it adds itself to your friends via your invite link and sends the copy to your account.

What sort of beast Hunt is

Hunt's formula blends PvP and PvE. Several teams drop onto one map at once, all tracking the same monstrous boss. Killing the creature is only half the job: then you must grab the bounty and get out while rivals weave ambushes. The atmosphere is thick and gothic โ€” dense audio betrays every step and every startled crow, and the 1890s arsenal of single-shot rifles, shotguns and dynamite makes you aim rather than spray. This is a game about patience and a cool head, not sprinting around with a machine gun.

Sound deserves its own mention: Hunt is one of the most audio-driven games in the genre. Creaking floorboards, flustered chickens, chained dogs barking, horses whinnying โ€” all of it flags someone else's presence. Veteran hunters read the map with their ears as well as their eyes, and often win before the first shot simply by knowing where the enemy is. Light and fog work against you too: the swamps feel alive, and night maps ratchet up the tension, where a silhouette in the dark might be a monster or another player.

Why ยซ1896ยป is in the name

The number arrived with a major technical overhaul: the project moved to a newer CryEngine version, gained reworked lighting, a refreshed interface and new locations. If you remember plain ยซHunt: Showdownยป, this is the same game in its modern, reimagined shape. Your progress and the essence of the gameplay stay put; it is mainly the tech and visuals that changed.

Editions: base and Starter Edition

The catalog has two regular game editions, and both contain the whole game:

  • Base edition โ€” Hunt: Showdown 1896 with no extras. Everything you need to start hunting is already inside.
  • Starter Edition โ€” the same base plus a starter bundle: a few ready Hunters with weapons and a stash of Blood Bonds currency to get going. It does not tilt the combat balance โ€” just a softer entry. The exact contents shift over time, so check them on the specific lot page.

Both are complete copies; you never need to buy the base separately.

Commercial License is not for home

Among the options you may spot a Commercial License. It is not a personal copy but a commercial-use license for public venues โ€” internet cafes, gaming lounges and LAN centers where the game runs for a fee. It is useless for a home evening: take the base edition or the Starter Edition instead. We deliberately put this license on its own tab so nobody buys it in place of the normal game.

How your Hunt gift arrives

The process is automatic and asks nothing fiddly of you. You provide the friend-invite link from your Steam profile and your account region. After payment the bot adds itself, sends the gift and leaves your friends list once it is done. You do not confirm the request by hand, and Steam Guard is not required to receive it. It usually takes a couple of minutes, but that is not a hard deadline: if anything goes sideways, we step in and finish the delivery.

Region and library โ€” two conditions for success

A Steam gift is accepted only when your account region matches the lot region. The region is baked into the specific variant, and the price currency is the clue: pick the lot whose currency matches your country and enter your region honestly. Second condition: Hunt: Showdown 1896 must not already be in the account's library โ€” a gift will not land on a game you already own. If the region is off or the game is already there, your money is not lost: the sum returns to your on-site balance for another attempt.

Anatomy of a single raid

A match in Hunt is a tight 20โ€“30 minute story. You pick a Hunter and a loadout, drop onto the map, track the boss's lair by clues, and clear the approaches of ordinary horrors โ€” zombies, dogs, fleshy trap creatures. Once the boss is down and the bounty is yours, the tensest stretch begins: the run to the exit, because every other team can now see the bounty marker. You can slip past quietly or hold a firefight for the right to leave with the prize. Losing a Hunter means losing their gear too, so every decision here carries real weight.

Hardware and Steam Deck

You receive the PC Steam version built for a Windows desktop. If you play on Steam Deck or under Linux, how well it runs depends on the current compatibility rating and the Proton layer โ€” that is a platform question, not a gift one. The copy itself is exactly what you would get buying on Steam directly: no cut-down or region-locked "special" builds.

Why it is convenient to buy here

We take the technical side off your plate: no signing up on third-party services, no chasing a seller, no handing anyone access to your Steam. Pay, give your invite link and region, and get the game on your account. No operator logs into your account or asks for your password โ€” the whole exchange runs through Steam's standard gifting mechanism, exactly as if a friend had sent you the game. If you hold a valid shop promo code, enter it in the cart before payment and the discount recalculates itself. We do not promise phantom sales โ€” only what is genuinely active applies.
