HumanitZ — isometric post-apocalyptic zombie survival on Steam
HumanitZ is an open-world survival sandbox set in a world where civilization has collapsed and the streets are crawling with “zeeks”. The camera is isometric, a top-down angled view, and that instantly sets a particular rhythm: you don’t charge in blindly, you plan your route, count your bullets and watch where the horde is coming from. The game is made by Yodubzz Studios and published by indie.io. The full 1.0 release landed on February 6, 2026, after nearly two and a half years in Early Access (which began on September 18, 2023), so by 1.0 this is no raw prototype but a game shaped and polished alongside its community. Here you buy HumanitZ as a Steam gift — the game arrives straight into your Steam library.
What HumanitZ is and why it grabs you
At its core is the classic survival loop: scavenging runs, crafting, building and combat to last as long as “humanly” possible. You comb through cities and suburbs for food, meds, weapons and materials, then head back to base, fortify your shelter and prepare for the next night. There’s no shortage of threats: beyond the various zombie types there are hostile survivors, hunger, thirst and dynamic weather that can ruin even a good run. The world is open — from overgrown wilderness to car-clogged urban blocks.
Things to do between runs
HumanitZ isn’t only about shooting. There’s a full survivor’s routine here:
- Base building — set up and fortify your shelter to survive a siege.
- Farming, hunting and fishing — feed yourself through your own homestead, not just looting.
- Vehicles — cars can be driven and customized to haul loot and outrun the horde.
- Character progression — professions, stats and skill trees to fit your playstyle.
- Difficulty modes — up to permadeath for those who want real hardcore.
Solo or co-op
You can play alone, or team up in online co-op and survive together with friends — sharing loot, watching each other’s backs and building a shared base. There’s also a PvP side for players who find zombies alone too tame. Note: for co-op each participant needs their own copy of HumanitZ, so you can pick up a gift for yourself and for your crew.
How you receive HumanitZ: a Steam gift
We deliver HumanitZ through the Steam Gift system. After your order, our bot adds itself as your friend using the invite link you provided and sends the gift — usually within a couple of minutes. You don’t need to accept the friend request, the bot handles everything itself, and after delivery it automatically removes itself from your friends list. Steam Guard is not required for this, and you don’t need to pre-purchase or launch anything on the account. All that’s left is to accept the gift in Steam — and HumanitZ appears in your library.
Gift regions: what matters
This is the key point for gifts specifically. The gift region must match your Steam account region, otherwise Steam simply won’t let you accept it. For HumanitZ we offer two coverage options: the 47-region version — broad, suited to most accounts, and the 4-region version — narrow, which you should only take if you’re sure your region is included. One more mandatory condition: HumanitZ must not already be in your account library — Steam doesn’t allow accepting a gift for a game you already own, and that’s the most common reason a gift fails. If you’re unsure which variant is yours, message us before paying and we’ll help you choose.
What to do if something goes wrong
If the bot couldn’t add you as a friend, it’s almost always because friend requests are disabled or the invite link is outdated. Enable friend requests in your profile privacy settings and send a fresh invite link — the gift will go through after that. Failures in services like this are rare, and we do our best to sort them out quickly.
