Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition — a Steam gift with the full game and The Frozen Wilds expansion
Horizon Zero Dawn is set a thousand years after the fall of civilization: Earth is ruled by powerful machine-animals, while the remnants of humanity live in tribes and hunt these mechanical beasts. You play as Aloy, an outcast hunter searching for the truth about her past and how the world ended up this way. It's an open-world adventure from Guerrilla Games and PlayStation: bows, traps, machine override, and one of the most striking natural settings in the genre.
Here you're buying a Steam gift, not a key: we send the game as a gift through the supplier's bot. The bot adds itself to your Steam friends, sends the gift, then leaves. You just accept it in Steam — and Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition lands in your library for good.
What's inside the Complete Edition
On PC there is no cut-down version of Horizon Zero Dawn — only the Complete Edition is sold, and it's the full package:
- Horizon Zero Dawn — the main story campaign (dozens of hours of open world).
- The Frozen Wilds — a large story expansion: a new snowy region called The Cut, with new machines, weapons, skills and enemies.
- Gear and supply packs: Carja Storm Ranger outfit and Carja Mighty Bow, Carja Trader Pack, Banuk Trailblazer outfit and Banuk Culling Bow, Banuk Traveller Pack, Nora Keeper Pack.
- The game's digital art book.
The Frozen Wilds installs together with the base game — there's nothing extra to buy. This is the "complete" version people get Horizon for on PC.
How we deliver the gift
The flow is simple and works without Steam Guard:
- You provide your Steam profile's friend invite link and your account region.
- The bot sends you a friend request, delivers the gift, and removes itself once it's done — you don't have to accept anything manually.
- Steam Guard is not required — the gift can be sent even to an account without it.
- Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes after the order, but it's not a hard deadline — occasionally it's a bit longer.
Steam will only let you accept the gift if you don't already own this game and your account region matches the gift region. That's the key condition — Steam simply won't accept a gift on an account that already has Horizon Zero Dawn, or where the region doesn't line up.
Account region: what to check
The gift is tied to a region. Before buying, check which region your Steam account is set to (you can see it in your account settings next to the country) and pick the matching option. If the region doesn't match, Steam will refuse the gift, which is why we ask you to fill this field honestly. No prior activity or already-owned game is needed to accept the gift.
What PC it runs on
This is a full Windows PC version via Steam. Horizon runs well after its patches: it supports a wide range of GPUs, ultrawide monitors and an unlocked frame rate. It also plays great on Steam Deck (it carries Valve's compatibility rating), so a handheld playthrough of Horizon is comfortable too.
If you're new to the Horizon series
Zero Dawn is the first game and the perfect entry point — this is where Aloy's story begins. From here there's Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, a reworked version of this same first game with upgraded visuals, and the direct sequel Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, which continues the story in new lands. If you enjoy big single-player PlayStation adventures, also take a look at God of War, another Sony story-driven action game brought to PC.
The short version
You get Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition as a Steam gift: the full game + The Frozen Wilds + bonus packs, with no in-game regional hassle and no subscriptions. Accept the gift once and the game is yours forever, just like a normal Steam purchase.
