HITMAN World of Assassination — Agent 47's whole trilogy in one Steam gift

HITMAN World of Assassination is the final form of the stealth series from Danish studio IO Interactive: the developer folded all three games of the modern trilogy (Hitman 1 Game of the Year, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3) into a single client that launched under this name on January 26, 2023. You play as Agent 47 — the bald assassin with a barcode on his neck — dropping into huge open sandboxes across the globe: a fashion show in Paris, a manor in Dartmouth, a skyscraper in Dubai. Every level is a puzzle with one target and dozens of ways to reach it. Here the game arrives as a Steam gift straight into your library.

What makes HITMAN special

The series is all about freedom. Nobody tells you how to take the target down: dress up as a waiter and poison the drink, cut the chandelier rope, stage a freak accident, or just slip in with a silent garrote. Levels are stuffed with routes, disguises and hidden opportunities, so the same mission plays out completely differently on each run. The game rewards skill and creativity with mastery ranks that unlock new starting points, stashes and gear — so a single map becomes an endless construction kit for the perfect kill. There's an extra layer of fun in the "mission stories": the game gently hints at cinematic scenarios (pose as a photographer, a doctor or a guard), but never forces you to use them. Veterans do the opposite — they switch off the prompts and plan a "Silent Assassin, no trace" run by hand, clearing a level so cleanly that security never realizes what happened.

Freelancer mode

A fan favorite is Freelancer: a roguelike campaign where 47 builds out a syndicate network, plans his own hits, buys gear and risks everything, since progress is lost on failure. It's another reason to return hundreds of hours after finishing the story. Note: Freelancer is part of the full version and the Deluxe Edition, but it's not in Part One — keep that in mind when choosing.

Full version, Part One and Deluxe — the difference

There are three options here, and it's not just cheaper-versus-pricier:

• HITMAN World of Assassination — the full game: Hitman 1 GOTY, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 content, Freelancer mode, and all of the trilogy's core locations. If you want everything at once, this is it.
• Part One — the budget entry. It includes only the first game's content (Hitman 1 GOTY): its locations and missions. It does NOT include the Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 maps, Freelancer mode or VR. It's not a cut-down full game but a separate starter version: if you like it, you can buy an upgrade later to unlock the rest.
• Deluxe Edition — the full game plus the Deluxe Pack: the extra New York and Haven Island locations, the Hantu Port and Siberia sniper maps, the "Seven Deadly Sins" DLC, Deluxe escalations, suits and items, a digital art book and director's commentary. The most complete of the three — though not literally every DLC, since separate season expansions aren't part of it.

How to accept the Steam gift

The flow is simple, no hoops to jump through. You provide your Steam friend invite link (grab it in your profile via "Add Friend", it looks like s.team/p/...) and your account region. Our bot then adds itself to your friends, sends the gift, and automatically leaves once it's delivered — you don't need to accept the request manually. All that's left is to click "Accept Gift" in Steam, and the game lands in your library. Steam Guard is not required to accept a gift, and the account doesn't need to own the game beforehand.

Region and a clean library

There are two conditions Steam enforces. First, your account region must match the gift region — so on the page pick the variant for your region and state it exactly in the order field. Second, you must not already own this version: a gift can't be accepted for a game you already have, and that's the number-one cause of failure. On top of that, your profile must allow friend requests, otherwise the bot simply can't reach you.

If something goes wrong

These situations are fixable. If the bot couldn't add you, it's almost always a closed friend-request setting or an expired link: open your privacy and send a fresh invite link, and we'll retry. If the region didn't match and Steam rejected the transfer, the order value returns to your site balance, and you can use it to pay for the correct region or any other item. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes, but there's no hard timing: on the rare delay, message support and we'll help sort it out.

System and platform

HITMAN World of Assassination runs on Steam for Windows PC; it has full controller support and feels good on the Steam Deck. You'll want a reasonably modern PC for comfortable visuals, but the series scales well across graphics settings, so tuning it to your hardware is easy. The gift is issued specifically for the Steam platform — it's not a console version or a tie to someone else's account.
