Hades II — the full game as a Steam gift
Hades II is the sequel to the cult roguelike from Supergiant Games, the studio behind Hades, Bastion and Transistor. After a long early access period, the game reached its full 1.0 version on September 25, 2025. This time you don't play as Zagreus but as his sister — Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld and a young witch who trains in dark arts for one purpose: to defeat Chronos, the Titan of Time, who has seized the Underworld. Buying from us, you get the complete game as a Steam gift, delivered straight to your library.
What's included in the gift
You receive the full base version of Hades II (v1.0) — no early access, no subscriptions, nothing extra to buy. This is the whole game: dozens of hours of runs, the complete story, all bosses, weapons, abilities and endings Supergiant shipped for the 1.0 launch. The game binds to your Steam account permanently — it's not a rental or temporary access.
What Hades II is about
In short, it's a top-down action roguelike where you set off on a run, die, return to the Crossroads, and grow stronger. But beneath that loop of death and rebirth lives a real story: characters change, remember your past attempts, and react to your progress. Melinoë wields magic and witchcraft rituals that Zagreus never had in the first game — this reshapes the rhythm of combat and opens up new builds.
- 🔱 A new heroine — Melinoë, witch and Princess of the Underworld.
- ⚔️ A fresh arsenal of weapons and magical abilities.
- 🏛️ Boons from the Olympian gods that combine differently every run.
- 🗺️ Two directions to your run — deeper into the Underworld and up toward the surface.
- ⏳ The main antagonist — Chronos, the Titan of Time.
How the gift delivery works
This is not an activation key but an actual Steam Gift sent by our bot. We need two things from you: a Steam friend-invite link (grab it from your profile via "Add Friend") and your Steam account region. After payment the bot adds itself to your friends, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list once delivered — you don't need to accept anything. The whole process usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout.
About region and library
Steam gifts have two conditions worth respecting. First: your account region must match the gift region — otherwise Steam simply won't let you accept it. So enter your account region honestly and accurately at checkout. Second: Hades II must not already be in your library — you can't accept a gift for a game you already own. If you want to gift the game to someone else, place the order with their details. Steam Guard is not required to accept the gift.
System requirements and platforms
Hades II runs great on PC (Windows and macOS) and is officially verified for Steam Deck. It's not demanding by modern standards — even modest laptops handle it, and the controls feel equally good on a gamepad or keyboard and mouse. The gift you receive is the Steam version.
If you played the first game
Hades II is a standalone story, so you don't need to finish the original to follow the plot. But if you played the first Hades, a lot of warm callbacks await: familiar gods, echoes of past events, and the fate of Hades' family from a new angle. It's the kind of sequel that respects fans of the original while staying open to newcomers.
Why Hades II is so hard to put down
The real strength of Supergiant's games is that repetition isn't a punishment here — it's the engine. Every run assembles itself anew: boons drop randomly, weapons can be upgraded in different directions, and builds form from dozens of combinations of abilities and magic. One run you wipe enemies with fire and curses; the next you build around bending time or crowd control. Between runs you develop the Crossroads, build relationships with the gods, and gradually uncover the story of Melinoë and her family. That's exactly why it's easy to sink a hundred hours into Hades II without noticing.
Music, style and voice acting
As in the first game, Darren Korb handles the soundtrack, and the music of Hades II is a reason on its own to boot it up. Supergiant's signature visual style, hand-painted character portraits, fully voiced dialogue and sharp humor make every return to the Underworld pleasant, even when a run ends badly. It's a game you come back to not just for the gameplay, but for the atmosphere.
Common questions before buying
The most important thing: make sure your account region matches the gift region and that the game isn't already in your library — these are the two main reasons a gift might not go through. If the bot couldn't add you as a friend, it's almost always closed friend requests in your privacy settings or an expired link — allow friend requests and send a fresh link, and we'll resend the gift. Other delivery questions are covered in the FAQ block below.
