San Andreas is the legendary story of Carl "CJ" Johnson, who returns to his home city of Los Santos for his mother's funeral and gets pulled back into gang wars, crooked cops and a sprawling road trip across an entire state. The Definitive Edition rebuilds the 2004 classic with a new lighting system, upgraded vehicle and character models, a redesigned HUD and navigation, longer draw distances and controls modernised toward GTA V. It is the same enormous San Andreas — three cities (Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas) plus countryside, desert and mountains in between — in a far more modern shell.
