Gameplay and combat

The remake keeps the signature hardcore, tactical feel of the original while modernizing the presentation. The combat system is reworked: it is smoother and more responsive, yet still demands thought — timing, stamina and picking your moment matter more than mindless clicking. Progression is built on learning from masters and investing points into weapon skills, magic and crafts. The world is open and dangerous: wander into the wrong place and the local wildlife or bandits will quickly explain that you are not ready yet.
