About the game

Batman is gone — and now Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin hold Gotham together. It's a co-op action RPG by WB Games Montréal: an open nighttime Gotham, hero progression, the Court of Owls conspiracy and rooftop brawls solo or in two-player online co-op. You get the game as a Steam gift delivered straight to your library.

Once the gift is delivered it cannot be refunded. If Steam rejects the gift due to region mismatch, the full amount is returned to your site balance.

Gotham Knights: a Gotham without Batman and four heirs

In Gotham Knights the usual order collapses in the first minutes: Batman dies, and the Batcave and the whole city fall onto the shoulders of his protégés. Now four people answer for Gotham — Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin. This isn't another Dark Knight simulator but a co-op action RPG from WB Games Montréal, released on October 21, 2022. You pick a hero that fits your style, level up their skills, craft gear and patrol an open nighttime Gotham — solo or with a friend over the network.

What kind of game this is

Gotham Knights is built around an investigation: the heroes pick up the trail of a secret society — the Court of Owls, an ancient organization that has pulled the city's strings from the shadows for centuries. Every night you ride out on the Batcycle into a new district, solve crimes, clear gang hotspots and gradually untangle the conspiracy Batman never finished. By day the Belfry base serves as a hub where you level up, craft new gear and switch between heroes.

Four heroes, four combat styles

The core hook is choosing a character, and they genuinely play differently:

  • Batgirl — a balance of melee and hacking abilities, an easy entry point.
  • Nightwing — acrobatics, escrima sticks and strong co-op support.
  • Red Hood — heavy damage, firearms and mystical leap-teleports.
  • Robin — stealth, gadgets and League of Shadows teleportation.

You can finish the whole campaign with a single hero or replay it as the others — each has their own lines, skill trees and moves.

The editions available

In our catalog Gotham Knights comes in two editions, and the difference between them is purely cosmetic:

  • Standard — the full game with the entire story, all four heroes and co-op. This is enough to play Gotham Knights from start to finish.
  • Deluxe Edition — the same game plus the Visionary Pack: a set of Beyond suit styles inspired by the Batman Beyond animated series, the KnightWatch transmog drawn by DC legend Jim Lee, and exclusive cosmetic gear. None of it affects the story, difficulty or gameplay — only how your heroes look.

So if you only care about the story and the brawls, go with Standard. If you want to dress up Batgirl and the crew in rare skins, that's Deluxe.

How the gift works and what you need

We deliver Gotham Knights as a Steam gift. You don't need a login or password — everything runs through a Steam friendship:

  • In the order fields you enter your friend invite link (grabbed from your Steam profile via "Add Friend") and your account region.
  • Our bot adds itself to your friends, sends the gift and, after delivery, removes itself from your list — no manual request acceptance needed.
  • Steam Guard isn't required for this. The main thing is to allow friend requests in your privacy settings.
  • Delivery usually takes literally a couple of minutes from the moment you order.

Region and ownership — two important conditions

Steam will accept the gift only under two conditions. First, your account region must match the gift region — so choose the variant for your region. Second, the chosen edition must not already be in the library of that account: Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own. If both conditions are met, the gift lands in your library without trouble.

What you play on

Gotham Knights on Steam is the PC version (Windows). The game supports two-player online co-op, so you can play through the story with a friend. It also launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but this Steam gift is meant specifically for your PC library.

If you love the DC universe

Gotham Knights is a solid entry point into WB Games' DC comics universe. If a grim Gotham and tight combat appeal to you, check out Batman: Arkham Knight — the finale of Rocksteady's iconic Arkham trilogy.
