What Reloaded is and how it differs from the original

Reloaded isn't just a re-release — it's a technical upgrade built on top of the Ultimate Edition. The visuals are pushed to 4K with reworked textures and assets, the campaign runs at 60 FPS, and multiplayer ramps up to 120 FPS. It adds genuinely PC-first features: ultrawide support, variable refresh rate (VRR), mouse and keyboard, controller remapping, FSR 3.1 and DLSS 3.5 upscaling, plus a benchmark mode. Campaign: the story of Delta Squad

The story returns to the saga's roots. Marcus Fenix walks out of prison straight into a full-blown Locust offensive to deliver a device capable of collapsing the enemy's underground tunnels in a single strike. You can play the campaign solo, in local split-screen on one screen, or in two-player online co-op — your call. Reloaded faithfully keeps the original's rhythm: dashing between cover, active reloads, and that signature tension when a Berserker comes charging out of the dark.

Multiplayer and cross-play

Versus mode supports up to 8 players across the original map roster plus post-launch additions. Reloaded's headline feature is cross-play between Steam, Xbox and PlayStation: you can squad up with friends regardless of platform. Online play requires signing in with a Microsoft account — it's free and only needed for matchmaking and cross-progression.
