For The King II β a turn-based, dice-driven adventure for you and three friends
For The King II is the sequel to the cult roguelite from IronOak Games (published by Curve Games), released on November 2, 2023. Where the first game gathered an army of turn-based risk lovers, the second went bigger, darker, and more tactical: an expanded battle grid, reworked classes, a campaign of seven linked adventures, and the endless Dark Carnival dungeon. Buying from us, you get the game as a Steam gift β it lands straight in your Steam library, no keys or third-party launchers.
What For The King II is and why it grips you
It's a blend of turn-based tactics, board-game adventure, and roguelite. Every fight is a dice roll: you don't just hit βattack,β you stack the odds, position your heroes on the battle grid, and decide whether to gamble for a big hit or play it safe. World maps are procedurally generated, so two runs are almost never alike β different events, different enemies, different loot. One bad roll can cost a character their life, and that honest brutality keeps the tension high right to the end.
Campaign, classes, and the Dark Carnival
The core mode is a story campaign of seven linked chapters that lead your party across the kingdom of Fahrul, thrown into chaos after the old order fell. A run easily takes 30+ hours, and far more once you factor in different party compositions and classes. Once the campaign is done, the Dark Carnival opens up β an endless mode where you test how far you can push on luck and a smart build. Classes are reworked in the sequel: each hero feels distinct, and assembling a synergistic party is a reward in itself.
Co-op for up to four players
For The King II can be played solo, controlling the whole party, or in co-op for up to four players β online or local split-screen on one screen. Co-op here isn't cosmetic: the grid combat and turn order turn shared runs into a constant tactical conversation. For online play, each friend needs their own copy β this gift activates For The King II on a single account.
What's included in this gift
You get the standard edition β the full base game with all the core content: the campaign, classes, battle grid, and Dark Carnival. This isn't a demo or an add-on β it's the complete game, playable right away. The extra character packs from the Deluxe edition (bundles like Into the Wild, Tinkerers of Fate, Fallen Oaths) are not part of this gift β this is the base game, which is more than enough for dozens of hours of adventure.
How we deliver the gift
Delivery goes through Steam Gift. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region, place the order β and our bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift, and leaves your friends list after delivery. You don't need to accept the friend request manually, and Steam Guard isn't required either. Delivery usually takes a couple of minutes from checkout. All that's left is to accept the gift in Steam β and the game is yours.
Important: region and library
Two conditions, without which Steam won't let you accept the gift. First: your Steam account region must match the gift region β so enter your country at checkout and we'll match the right variant from a pool of 47 regions. Second: For The King II must not already be in your account's library β Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own. Meet both and everything goes smoothly.
System requirements and platform
For The King II is a PC title running on Windows 10 (64-bit). It isn't very demanding, so it runs on most current machines β this is a turn-based game where your head matters more than your hardware. It launches through the Steam client, with no separate launcher needed.
Gift vs key β what's the difference
We deliver For The King II as a gift (Steam Gift), not an activation key. For you that means a simple flow: no manual code entry in Steam β the game arrives as a ready entry in your library once you accept the gift. The one catch: check your account region in advance and make sure you don't already own the game. With both in order, a gift is the most hassle-free way to get the game β no codes to retype, no launchers to install.
Who For The King II is for
If you love it when a fight's outcome rides on both calculation and luck, this is your game. It shines with a group: gather four players, argue over moves, lose to one cruel die, and immediately start again. The solo mode is fully fledged too β you steer the whole party and make every call. This isn't a game you win with reflexes; here the winner is whoever manages their odds and party resources best.
What to check out next
If you like the βadventure + risk + co-opβ formula, take a look at For The King β the first game in the series where it all started. Fans of dark turn-based tactics and tough decisions will enjoy Darkest Dungeon, and those after a big co-op RPG grind should try Wartales. You can grab them from us the same way β as a gift or a key.
