Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition โ Noctis's full saga on PC
Final Fantasy XV follows prince Noctis Lucis Caelum, who sets off on the road with three loyal friends โ first toward his own wedding, then on a long, dangerous journey to reclaim the conquered kingdom of Lucis and its Crystal. It's one of the most cinematic entries in the series: the vast open world of Eos, camping by the fire, fishing, hunting monsters and cruising in the legendary Regalia car to classic Final Fantasy tracks. The Windows Edition is the definitive PC version that already bundles every piece of extra content released over the years.
What's inside the Windows Edition
This isn't a bare base game โ it's built on Royal Edition with every major add-on baked in. You get:
- the full Final Fantasy XV story campaign;
- all four Season Pass episodes โ Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Episode Ignis and the Comrades co-op multiplayer;
- 20+ downloadable add-ons and post-launch updates;
- an expanded map of the capital Insomnia with new enemies and side quests;
- a first-person camera mode;
- native 4K and 8K support, HDR10 and Dolby Atmos, plus open mod support.
How the PC version differs from console
On PC, Final Fantasy XV looks noticeably richer: high resolution, advanced NVIDIA effects, long draw distances and a stable framerate on strong hardware. It also includes every DLC that was sold separately on consoles โ so there's no need to pay extra for the episodes or the season pass. This is the most complete way to play XV from start to finish, including each companion's side story.
How we deliver the game
You receive Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition as a Steam gift straight to your account. After payment, our bot adds itself as a friend via your invite link, sends the gift (usually within a couple of minutes) and then leaves your friends list โ no manual approval needed. Steam Guard is not required. All you do is accept the gift in Steam and the game lands in your library.
What to check before buying
For Steam to accept the gift smoothly, two conditions must be met: your Steam account region must match the gift region, and you must not already own Final Fantasy XV on that account โ Steam won't accept a gift for a game you already have. Your profile also needs to allow friend requests, otherwise the bot can't reach you. No prior activity or other games on the account are required.
Combat and a road trip for four
Combat in Final Fantasy XV plays out in real time: Noctis warp-strikes to enemies and ledges with his weapons, instantly switches between swords, lances, shields and firearms, and calls in his team at the right moment. Gladiolus soaks up damage and covers you, Ignis offers tactical advice and cooks buff-granting meals, Prompto shoots and snaps photos of the journey. This foursome is the heart of the game: between fights you refuel the Regalia, stop at diners, take on hunt contracts and rest at campsites where Ignis cooks dinner and the party banks the day's experience. That blend of action and a laid-back road-trip rhythm is what sets XV apart from the rest of the series.
Season Pass episodes: the companions' perspective
Beyond the main story, the Windows Edition gives you instant access to story episodes for Noctis's companions. Episode Gladiolus reveals where Gladio went mid-game and serves up a tough combat challenge. Episode Prompto is a more dramatic tale with gunplay and snowmobiles. Episode Ignis retells key events through Ignis's eyes and offers an alternate ending. The co-op Comrades mode lets you create your own Kingsglaive hero and tackle missions alongside other players. All of it is already bundled โ nothing extra to buy.
Running it on different hardware and Steam Deck
The Windows Edition scales well: on modest PCs you can lower settings and play at Full HD, while powerful rigs can push 4K/8K, long draw distances and NVIDIA's signature effects. The game ships with a built-in benchmark to help you tune settings for your GPU before you start. It also runs on Steam Deck โ on the handheld, medium presets keep the framerate stable and the battery happy. Since this is the standard Steam version, you get cloud saves, achievements and Workshop mod support.
Who it's for
If you love big Japanese RPGs with an open world, a charismatic cast and flashy real-time combat, this is for you. It's also an easy entry point to the series: XV is self-contained and needs no knowledge of earlier games. If you want to keep exploring the genre, check out other RPGs in our catalog โ like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Final Fantasy XVI or NieR: Automata.
