Disco Elysium - The Final Cut: a detective story you solve with words and thoughts
Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is not a shooter or a hack-and-slash. It's a detective role-playing game from Estonian studio ZA/UM, where your main weapons are your mind, your tongue and a chorus of inner voices in your head. You come to in a wrecked hotel room in the seaside city of Revachol: you're a cop, you remember nothing, and outside a body has been hanging from a tree for days. Everything that follows runs on conversations, dialogue choices and skill checks โ there's almost nothing to shoot, but you'll constantly argue with your own "Electrochemistry" or "Drama".
On this page you buy the game as a Steam gift: after checkout our bot sends the gift straight to your Steam account, and Disco Elysium - The Final Cut lands in your library like any purchased game โ with all updates, cloud saves and achievements.
How The Final Cut differs from the original
The original Disco Elysium launched on 15 October 2019 and immediately won a pile of writing awards. The Final Cut released on 30 March 2021 as a free major upgrade for everyone who already owned the game. What it added:
- Full voice acting. Where only some lines were voiced before, The Final Cut voices every dialogue โ dozens of hours of narration, including the inner voices.
- New political quests. Four extra "Vision Quests" explore your detective's political leanings โ communism, ultraliberalism, moralism and fascism โ adding new scenes and endings.
- Expanded localisations and controller refinements for console and PC players.
Today, when you buy Disco Elysium, you get The Final Cut โ the most complete version of the game, with nothing extra to buy.
Why it's worth playing
Disco Elysium is a game about text. It has over a million words of script, and almost every decision is a choice of words: who to lie to, who to argue with, which inner voice to trust. The skill system isn't built on combat but on 24 "sub-personalities" โ from Logic and Empathy to Half Light and Inland Empire โ that literally comment on events and either help you or throw you off. Revachol is a bleak, politics-and-booze-soaked world of magical realism, hand-painted to look like a living oil canvas.
It isn't for everyone: if you want action, it'll feel strange. But if you love strong writing, moral forks and detective work, it's one of the finest examples of the genre in a decade.
What's on this page
There are two different items here โ don't mix them up:
- Full game ๐ฎ โ this is Disco Elysium - The Final Cut itself. This is what you launch and play.
- Commercial License ๐บ โ this is not a copy of the game. It's a separate licence granting the right to use content based on the game commercially: monetised streams and videos. If you're a regular player you don't need it; get it only if you earn money from Disco Elysium content and own the game separately.
How the Steam gift delivery works
The mechanic is simple and doesn't involve fiddling with codes:
- You provide a Steam friend invite link (s.team/p/...) and your account region.
- Our bot adds itself to your friends and sends the gift โ usually within a couple of minutes.
- You don't need to accept the friend request: the bot handles everything and removes itself after delivery.
- Steam Guard is not required โ you can accept the gift without it.
Two conditions Steam needs before it lets you accept the gift: your account region must match the gift region, and Disco Elysium must not already be in that account's library. So pick the item for your region and send it to an account that doesn't yet own this game.
Gift regions
The base game is available as a gift across a wide set of regions โ pick the one matching your Steam account. The Commercial License is available in fewer regions. If you're unsure which region your account is in, you can see it in Steam settings under "Account", along with your store country.

The short version
Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is the most complete version of the cult detective RPG, with full voice acting and new quests. You receive it as a Steam gift to your account โ no codes, no Steam Guard. The key things: matching region and not already owning the game. Welcome to Revachol, detective.
