Construction Simulator is a building sim by studio weltenbauer and publisher astragon, released on September 20, 2022. There are no arcade shortcuts here: you operate licensed machines from real brands — Caterpillar, Liebherr, MAN, JCB, Bell, Case, Kramer and dozens more — and run the full construction cycle, from digging the pit to handing over a finished building. Here it's a Steam gift: the game arrives straight in your Steam account and lands in your library. There are no codes to enter by hand — the gift shows up ready to accept.

Two maps, one big world of construction

The game ships with two large open maps, European and American. Europe is cozy towns with narrow streets and dense building, where you have to thread a crane carefully between houses. The American map is wide open — long roads and sprawling industrial sites. Between jobs you roam freely, drive machines under their own power or haul them on a trailer, grow your company and take on tougher contracts. It's not a set of isolated levels but a living sandbox where you decide what to tackle next. Over time your garage grows, the jobs get bigger, and a small crew turns into a full construction firm with a fleet of heavy equipment.

Machines you really operate

The heart of the series is real machinery with believable handling. Excavators dig, concrete pumps pour foundations, mobile cranes lift slabs and trusses, pavers lay road, dump trucks haul soil. Each machine has its own controls and behaviour, and part of the fun is learning to feel the boom reach and place a load precisely. The vehicles are licensed from manufacturers, so your garage holds recognizable models rather than nameless stand-ins.

Editions: Standard and Gold Edition

We offer two full editions, and both already include the base game — you can play as soon as the gift lands in your library:

• Construction Simulator (Standard) — the game itself: both maps, co-op for up to 4 players, the base fleet and campaign. The ideal way into the series.
• Gold Edition — the base game plus all Year 1 Season Pass content (SANY and JCB machines, the Airfield and Spaceport campaigns, two cosmetic packs and an exclusive helmet) plus the separate Kramer Pack. One gift and you start with an expanded garage and more jobs.

Both editions are self-contained: you don't need any previously purchased version to run them.

What Gold Edition adds

In short, the Gold Edition is for players who want the maximum amount of machinery and content right away. On top of the base game it already includes all of the first season pass: 21 extra machines (including SANY and JCB models), the Airfield and Spaceport story campaigns, two cosmetic packs and an exclusive helmet with a sticker, plus the Kramer Pack on top. Going Gold is a better deal than buying the standard version and adding the content separately.

How you receive the Steam gift

It all happens automatically, with almost nothing for you to do:

• Our bot adds you as a friend on Steam by itself (or you simply follow an invite link) — there's no need to send or confirm a friend request manually.
• The bot sends the gift straight to your account and then removes you from its friends.
• You just accept the gift — and Construction Simulator appears in your Steam library.
• Steam Guard is not required, and you never hand over access to your account.

The gift usually arrives within a couple of minutes after payment. A couple of conditions to keep it smooth: the game must not already be in your Steam library, and your Steam account region must match the region of the gift — otherwise Steam won't let you accept it. You can see your region in your Steam account settings.

Co-op with friends

Construction Simulator can be played together — up to 4 players on one site. Split the contracts, move machines around and close out big jobs faster. Note that every participant needs their own copy, not just the host — that's a separate gift for each player.

Where to play

The gift is for PC via Steam. Once the game lands in your library it's bound to your account and yours to keep — you can reinstall and play it whenever you like.
