Castle Crashers โ the hand-drawn beat 'em up that never gets old
Castle Crashers is that game where four knights in colorful armor hack through hordes of enemies to the wildly funny animation of The Behemoth. A dark wizard has stolen a magic crystal and kidnapped four princesses โ the king sends his knights to recover the crystal, rescue the princesses and bring the villain to justice. It sounds like a classic fairy tale, but it plays like a marathon of laughter, co-op chaos and epic bosses like a giant cat-mage. Here you buy the full game as a Steam gift: it lands straight on your account and stays in your library forever.
What Castle Crashers is and why people still play it
The game launched on Steam in 2012, and in 2015 it received a free Remastered update: textures became 5x sharper, the framerate was uncapped to 60 FPS, online play was fixed and a new minigame, Back Off Barbarian, was added. Under the hood it's a 2D sidescrolling beat 'em up in the arcade tradition, but with RPG progression: your knight gains levels and pumps strength, magic, agility and defense, learns elemental attacks and drags along an animal pet that heals, grabs loot or poisons enemies.
The heart of it is up to 4-player co-op, local or online. With four players Castle Crashers turns into a friendly riot: you fight over dropped weapons, shove each other at chests, brawl in a tiny arena for a rescued princess and crack up at the eating animation. That blend of simple controls and bottomless charm is exactly why friends still boot it up years later.
Content: characters, weapons and pets
Castle Crashers packs more than 25 playable characters and over 40 weapons โ from a rusty sword to a glow stick and a giant fish. Characters unlock as you progress or by meeting special conditions: some you earn by defeating a certain boss, others by completing a set. Each knight wields an element (fire, ice, lightning, poison) that shapes their magic and combat tactics. Pets grant passive bonuses: some boost stats, others steal keys or weaken enemies. Collecting them all is its own reward for completionists.

Castle Crashers and the โCan't Stop Laughingโ pack
This product comes in two options. The first is Castle Crashers itself as a standalone gift. The second is the โCan't Stop Laughing Bundleโ, which includes two Behemoth games at once โ Castle Crashers and BattleBlock Theater. As a bonus for owning both games, you unlock Hatty Hattington as a playable character in Castle Crashers (he's the lead of BattleBlock Theater). Want both games and love Behemoth humor? Take the bundle; if you only need Castle Crashers, grab the standard option from the โGameโ tab.
How to get the gift and what to enter
Delivery goes through a Steam gift. We need two things from you: your Steam friend invite link (open your profile โ โAdd Friendโ โ copy the s.team/p/... link) and your Steam account region. After payment our bot adds itself to your friends, sends the gift and automatically leaves your friends list once it's delivered โ no need to accept the request manually. The whole process usually takes a couple of minutes. Steam Guard is not required to receive the gift.
Important region and account conditions
For Steam to accept the gift, two things must line up. First, your Steam account region must match the gift region โ that's why you enter your region in the order and we match the right variant. Second, Castle Crashers must not already be in the recipient account's library โ Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own, and that's the single most common reason a gift fails. Finally, friend requests must be allowed in your profile settings, otherwise the bot can't reach you.
Who it's for
Castle Crashers is the perfect pick for parties and co-op sessions with friends: easy to jump into, full of shared laughs, no hardcore-for-the-sake-of-it. If you love The Behemoth's style, check out BattleBlock Theater and the tactical Pit People from the same studio: the same hand-drawn humor, different gameplay. And Castle Crashers remains a golden classic that's just as fun the first time as it is years later.
