CarX Street: open world, drift and tuning on your Steam account
CarX Street is an open-world street racer set in Sunset City, made by CarX Technologies β the studio behind the popular CarX Drift Racing Online. There are no corridor tracks or loading screens between races here: you freely cruise the districts of a night city, take on club challenges, slide through parking lots for drift points and build your dream car in the garage. Buy from us and you get the full base version of the game for PC as a Steam gift β it lands straight in your library and stays yours for good.
What CarX Street is about
At the core of CarX Street is the signature CarX physics that drifters around the world love the series for. The car responds to throttle, brake and steering in a believable, lively way: you can finely catch a slide, hold an angle through a long corner, or push flat-out along the straights between city interchanges. Sunset City is split into districts with their own clubs and bosses β beat them across race series and climb the street-racing career. Between races the city feels alive: traffic, day-night cycle, gas stations, workshops and spots for free riding.
Modes and activities
CarX Street isn't limited to a single kind of race β there's something for every mood:
- Club races β race series against district bosses, the main career path.
- Drift β free ride and drift events where the angle and the slide combo matter more than the finish line.
- Sprints β short high-speed dashes through the streets from point to point.
- Duels and chases β one-on-one races and a pursuit mode over distance.
- Deliveries and quests β city missions that add life to the world.
Tuning and customization
The garage is half the fun in CarX Street. There's deep visual and technical tuning: swap rims, paint and wraps, add LED lighting, work on the interior and build a one-of-a-kind look. The technical side matters too β setups change how the car behaves, so it pays to build different configs for drift, sprint or club racing. If you came from CarX Drift Racing Online, the tuning logic will feel familiar, but the open world lets it shine wider.
What exactly you get
You're buying the base version of CarX Street for PC as a Steam gift. This is the full game, not a trial and not an add-on: once you accept the gift it appears in your Steam library like any game you'd buy yourself. Extra car packs and content (Deluxe cars, themed DLC) are not part of this base version β those are separate items if you want them later.
How the gift delivery works
Delivery goes through a Steam bot and takes minimal effort on your side. At checkout you provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region. The bot then adds itself as your friend and sends the gift β usually within a couple of minutes. You don't need to accept the friend request manually: the bot handles everything and removes itself from your friends after delivery. Steam Guard is not required to accept the gift. All that's left for you is to click βAccept Giftβ in Steam β and CarX Street is yours.
Region and the key condition
The gift covers 47 regions. For Steam to let you accept it, your account region must be within that coverage and match the gift region β that's why we ask for your region at checkout. The second mandatory condition: CarX Street must not already be in this account's library. Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own β it's the most common reason an acceptance fails, so send the gift to an account without the game. Also make sure your profile allows friend requests, otherwise the bot can't reach you.
Where you can play
On Steam, CarX Street is available for Windows, macOS on Apple Silicon and SteamOS/Linux. This is specifically the PC version of the game β don't confuse it with the mobile CarX Street for phones: their content and progress are separate. The game launched on Steam on August 29, 2024 and keeps getting updates and new content from the developers.
