BALL x PIT โ the Breakout roguelite with city-building you can't put down
BALL x PIT is hard to pin to a single genre, and that's exactly why it's so hard to stop playing. Developer Kenny Sun and publisher Devolver Digital took classic Breakout, fused it with an endless bullet-hell roguelite, and layered a cozy city-builder on top. The result is a hybrid where you smash swarms of monsters with bouncing balls in the pit, then return to your town to spend the loot and unlock new heroes. Here we sell BALL x PIT as a Steam gift: the game lands straight in your library through our bot.
What BALL x PIT is and why everyone's talking about it
The game launched on October 15, 2025 and became a hit almost overnight: 300,000+ copies in five days and over a million sold by December 2025. BALL x PIT earned โgenerally favorableโ reviews and even won the New York Game Award for Best New York Game. Behind that success is a simple but dangerously addictive idea: every run is built from two phases that feed into each other.
The first phase is action. You launch balls that ricochet off walls and enemies, wipe out crowds of monsters, gather resources and level your character mid-fight. It's that โjust one more launchโ loop familiar to anyone who's lost hours to breakout roguelites. The second phase is city-building: you spend the resources you collected to raise and upgrade structures that unlock new heroes, new ball types and abilities for future runs. The deeper you go, the more combinations open up โ and the stronger the pull to run it again.
What you get
You receive the full PC version of BALL x PIT for Steam (Windows and macOS) as a gift. This isn't a stripped-down build or a demo โ it's the same game listed on the Steam store, including the free updates Devolver ships. At launch the game had no separate paid DLC; content arrives as large free updates instead. The Regal Update landed in January 2026, the Shadow Update in April 2026, and the developer announced three free updates for 2026. So you're buying a game that only grows over time, with no extra charges.
How the gift delivery works
Delivery is as simple as it gets, but a couple of conditions are mandatory. You provide your Steam friend invite link and your account region. After payment, our bot adds itself to your friends, sends the BALL x PIT gift, and leaves your friends list once it's delivered โ you don't need to accept the request manually. The whole thing usually takes a couple of minutes, though we don't promise a hard SLA โ rare delays can happen, like with any service of this kind.
- The region must match. Your Steam account region must match the gift region, otherwise Steam won't let you accept it.
- You can't already own the game. Steam won't allow a gift on an account that already has BALL x PIT. This is the #1 reason for failure โ check your library first.
- No Steam Guard required. The gift can be sent to an account without Steam Guard enabled.
- Allow friend requests. If your profile is locked down, the bot can't add you โ enable requests in your privacy settings.
Where you can play
This version is for PC via Steam: Windows and macOS are officially supported. The Steam page lists system requirements for both platforms, so it's worth checking your machine before buying. The game runs happily on modest hardware โ it's about gameplay, not graphical excess. On the Steam Deck, BALL x PIT's arcade controls feel especially at home.
Who BALL x PIT is for
If you've ever told yourself โfive more minutesโ in Vampire Survivors and love runs built from lots of tiny decisions, this is your game. If you enjoy breakout mechanics with a calm city-builder between runs, even more so. BALL x PIT manages to relax you and make you min-max builds at the same time, and that balance is what turned it into a word-of-mouth hit of 2025.
Into roguelites and Devolver indies? Check out Vampire Survivors, Cult of the Lamb and Enter the Gungeon โ a related genre with the same โone more runโ spirit.
The purchase in short
BALL x PIT here is an honest Steam gift of the full game. Provide the correct region and a library that doesn't already own it, send a fresh invite link, and the bot does the rest. No keys to type in: the game simply shows up as a gift waiting to be accepted.
