Assetto Corsa Competizione — the official GT World Challenge sim on Steam
Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) is a serious racing simulator from the Italian studio Kunos Simulazioni, officially licensed by the GT World Challenge (formerly the Blancpain GT Series). It left early access on 29 May 2019 and is still a benchmark for anyone who wants to feel how GT3 cars actually behave on laser-scanned circuits. Every degree of steering, tyre temperature and braking point matters here, which is why ACC is loved by both gamepad newcomers and esports drivers on direct-drive wheels.

What the base game includes
Base Assetto Corsa Competizione covers the 2018 and 2019 GT World Challenge seasons: a strong roster of GT3 cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes-AMG, BMW and more, plus a set of laser-scanned tracks such as Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Brands Hatch, Zandvoort, Paul Ricard and the Nurburgring. You get a single-player career, endurance races with dynamic weather and day-night transitions, split races and a full online mode with the Safety Rating and Competition Rating systems.
Do you need the DLC
No — the base game is enough to race fully: tracks, cars, career and online are already inside. The DLC packs are optional add-ons that require the installed base game. They include the Intercontinental GT Pack (Bathurst, Kyalami, Suzuka), the British GT Pack, the GT4 Pack with the junior car class, the Challengers Pack, the American Track Pack with circuits like Watkins Glen, and the 2020 and 2023 GT World Challenge seasons. If you later want more cars and tracks, you simply add the pack you like — your progress and the game itself stay in place.
How the gift is delivered
Delivery is via Steam Gift: you leave your friend invite link and tell us your Steam account region. Our bot adds itself as your friend, sends the gift and leaves your friends list once it is delivered — you do not need to accept anything manually. Steam Guard is not required to receive the gift. The whole process usually takes a couple of minutes after checkout, though this is not a strict guarantee and can occasionally take a bit longer.
Region and library requirements
A Steam gift will only be accepted if your account region matches the gift region, so enter your real country at checkout. What hardware you need
ACC runs on Unreal Engine 4 and is fairly demanding on the GPU, especially in the rain and with a full grid. For a smooth picture a mid-range dedicated graphics card and an SSD are recommended. The game works beautifully with force-feedback wheels (Logitech, Thrustmaster, Fanatec, Moza), but you can start on a gamepad too — the controls are configurable. There is no official Linux support, yet many players run ACC on the Steam Deck through Proton, with stability depending on your settings.
Career, online and rating
Single-player offers a full career with championship rounds, separate race weekends and qualifying sessions, plus a Special Events mode and hotlap challenges. But ACC's real depth is in online play: the Safety Rating measures how clean your driving is, while the Competition Rating tracks your pace and results, so you end up racing opponents at your own level. That turns every lap into meaningful wheel-to-wheel battling instead of chaotic first-corner crashes. Dynamic weather and time transitions add strategy: picking the right moment for a pit stop and a tyre change often decides an endurance race.
Who Assetto Corsa Competizione is for
Pick ACC if you care about circuit GT3 racing and realistic physics rather than an open world and city drifting. If you want a freer sandbox with mods and tuning, look at the original Assetto Corsa or the newer series entry Assetto Corsa EVO. If you enjoy varied disciplines and physics, Automobilista 2 is also worth a look. ACC itself is all about the clean track, the stopwatch and the fight for a perfect lap.
