Assassin's Creed Origins (Steam Gift): the birth of the Brotherhood in Ancient Egypt
Assassin's Creed Origins takes the series back to its roots — literally. This is the story of how the Assassin Brotherhood was born, long before Altair and Ezio. You play as Bayek of Siwa, the last Medjay of Ptolemaic Egypt, whose personal tragedy turns into a fight that will change the world forever. The open world is huge: desert sands, the flooding Nile, the bustle of Alexandria, pharaohs' tombs and ruins steeped in the secrets of the First Civilization.
What Origins changes for the series
Ubisoft rebuilt the combat system: instead of timing-based dueling, you get a full RPG approach with levels, weapon stats, an ability tree and a bow. You level up Bayek, pick gear that fits your style and decide whether to go in loud or clear a camp silently. The eagle Senu replaces the old 'eagle vision' — it actually flies over the map and tags enemies. The world runs on its own day-and-night cycle, and there are a dozen ways to approach every fortress.
An Ancient Egypt worth returning to
The Origins map isn't just a backdrop — it's a character in its own right. Ptolemaic Egypt sits at the crossroads of eras: Greek influence, the Roman threat, ancient gods and the political intrigue around Cleopatra and Caesar. Between story missions it's easy to lose hours exploring tombs, solving papyrus riddles, hunting legendary beasts or simply sailing the Nile. If you value atmosphere and the scale of an open world, this is one of Ubisoft's most beautiful efforts.
Which edition to choose
Standard Edition is the full base game with the entire story campaign. Deluxe Edition adds the 'Secrets of the First Pyramids' mission, an extra pack, ability points and exclusive gear for a quick start. Gold Edition is the complete set: everything above plus the Season Pass with two major expansions. The Hidden Ones continues Bayek's story and extends the map into Sinai, while The Curse of the Pharaohs takes you to Thebes and into the afterlife of Egyptian mythology. If you plan to finish the game completely, Gold is better value than buying the expansions separately.
How the Steam gift delivery works
We deliver Assassin's Creed Origins as a Steam gift through a bot. After payment the bot adds you as a friend and sends the gift — you only need to accept the gift itself, not the friend request. Once delivered, the bot leaves your friends list. No Steam Guard is required and there's nothing extra to confirm. One important point: your Steam account region must match the gift's region, and the game must not already be in your library — otherwise Steam won't let you accept the gift. Delivery is handled gently, without rush or pressure: if anything goes wrong, we're here.
How long it takes to finish
Origins isn't a one-evening game. The main story comfortably runs 25-30 hours, and with side quests, tombs and legendary beast hunts the count climbs to 60-80 hours. The world is built so that side activities don't feel like filler: many of them carry their own small stories, mythology references and reward gear. If you enjoy exploring every corner of the map thoughtfully, there's plenty of content to keep you busy.
Where to start and where to go next
Origins is a great entry point into the modern Assassin's Creed trilogy. After it, it makes sense to grab Assassin's Creed Mirage, which returns to classic stealth, or to stay in Ubisoft's open worlds with Far Cry 5. And if you prefer a tech dystopia over antiquity, check out Watch Dogs Legion. All of them are available as Steam gifts in our catalog.
