Valhalla players will recognize this character, but Mirage tells his early story, before everything that came later. The city here isn't just a backdrop: living districts, markets, guards and a crowd that's easy to disappear into all serve both the atmosphere and the stealth at once.
How Mirage differs from other entries
The biggest difference is scale and focus. Instead of a hundred-hour open world, you get a compact, densely packed city where every district is built for stealth. The wanted system returns: you can be spotted, have posters put up, raise the guards — and you'll have to lower attention by bribing town criers or tearing down notices. Combat is simpler and faster than in the RPG entries: Mirage doesn't reward head-on fights, it rewards planning, assassin tools and the strike from stealth. This is a game about a master of stealth, not a warrior with a damage bar.
Assassin tools and approach
Basim leans on the classic stealth-killer toolkit, and that's where the game opens up:
- the hidden blade and silent takedowns from cover and from above;
- gadgets like smoke bombs, throwing knives and traps to distract guards;
- eagle vision and a bird companion for scouting the area;
- rooftop parkour, the crowd and hay bales as ways to break contact and shake a chase.

Which editions are available
The catalog may have several versions of Mirage, and the difference between them is honest — it's extra content, not "early access to the game."
- Standard Edition — the full base game with nothing cut: the whole story, all of Baghdad, every stealth mechanic. Just want the game — take this version.
- Deluxe Edition — adds a Prince of Persia-themed pack (weapon and cosmetics), plus the soundtrack and a digital artbook. It doesn't affect the story or progression — it's about looks and nice extras.
- Master Assassin Edition — the most complete version: the base game, the Deluxe set and several more bonus packs on top.
