ARK: Survival Evolved — tame dinosaurs and survive by buying the game as a Steam Gift
ARK: Survival Evolved is the cult survival sandbox from Studio Wildcard, where you wake up naked and empty-handed on a mysterious island called ARK, teeming with dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. The game left early access on August 29, 2017 and has since built a gigantic community: millions of players, thousands of mods and servers. The formula is simple and dangerously addictive — harvest resources, craft, build a base, tame dinos, and rise from a shivering caveman with a stone axe to a tribe leader soaring on a pterodactyl with a machine gun in hand.
Here you get the game as a Steam Gift: we deliver it to your account through a bot that adds itself as a friend via your invite link and sends the gift. Below: what the game is, what's in the base version, how the editions differ, how gift delivery works, and what to watch with the region.
🦕 What the game is and why people sink hundreds of hours into it
ARK is survival in its purest form, but with dinosaurs in the leading role. You start from nothing: gather berries and branches, light a fire, craft your first tools and shelter against cold, rain and predators. From there it's leveling up, crafting ever more advanced gear (from a spear to electronics and firearms) and building a base — from a thatch hut to a stone fortress bristling with turrets.
The series' signature feature is taming dinosaurs. Almost any beast on the island can be knocked out, fed and made your pet: a raptor becomes a battle mount, a triceratops a battering tank, a brontosaurus a walking warehouse, and a T. rex a living siege engine. Each dino has its own abilities and role, and the whole game economy revolves around who you've tamed and how you use them.
🏝 What's in the base game
The base ARK: Survival Evolved is the complete game with the starter map The Island: a huge island of mountains, caves, swamps and underwater depths, dozens of creature species, a full cycle of survival, crafting and taming, plus bosses and "obelisk teleporters" leading to endgame trials. That alone is hundreds of hours even without expansions. The story and world lore are revealed through Explorer Notes scattered across the maps — text journals from characters in the universe.
🗺 Editions and major expansions
It's worth not getting confused here. The base itself is the original game with The Island map. Beyond it are major story expansions, each with its own map, creatures and mechanics:
- Scorched Earth — desert survival with sandstorms and new creatures.
- Aberration — an underground world of radiation, anomalies and dangerous fauna.
- Extinction — a ruined Earth with colossal Titan bosses.
- Genesis Part 1 and Part 2 — the finale of the story arc with biome simulations and space locations.
All these expansions are sold separately and are also bundled in the Ultimate Survivor Edition — a pack of the base game plus all of the above. Simple rule of thumb: want to start with the classic and see if the genre clicks → grab the base game with The Island; want more maps and content → add the expansions individually or as a set. One note: ARK: Survival Ascended is not the same thing but a separate remake on a new engine; this listing is the original Survival Evolved.
🌐 Single-player, co-op and servers
You can play it any way you like. Solo — calmly master the island at your own pace, with difficulty settings to taste. Co-op — survive with friends. And finally, on official and private servers for dozens or hundreds of players, where tribes form, territory wars rage, bases get raided and large-scale PvP unfolds. Many stay in ARK precisely for the social, tribal side — a whole world of politics and alliances.
🛠 Mods and the Steam Workshop
One of the main reasons to buy ARK on Steam is the enormous mod workshop. The community has made thousands of modifications: new maps, creatures, items, modes, UI improvements and total conversions. Many popular maps actually grew out of fan mods. It's effectively endless life extension for the game, and everything installs in a couple of clicks via the Steam Workshop.
🇷🇺 Russian language
Localisation is fine: the game has a Russian interface and subtitles — menus, crafting, item descriptions and in-game notes all read in Russian. There's almost no full voice-acted story in ARK: the lore is delivered as text through Explorer Notes, so the language barrier is minimal and learning the mechanics in Russian is no trouble.
🎁 How the Steam Gift delivery works
We deliver ARK not as a key but as a Steam Gift. At checkout you provide your friend invite link and account region. Our bot adds itself to your friends, sends the gift, and after delivery leaves your friends list. You don't need to accept the request manually, and Steam Guard isn't required — the only thing that matters is that your profile privacy allows friend adds. You grab the invite link in your Steam profile via the "Add Friend" button (it looks like s.team/p/...) and paste it into the order field.
🌍 Gift region — an important detail
A Steam Gift is region-bound. Your Steam account region must match the chosen variant, otherwise Steam won't let you accept the gift. So enter your region honestly at checkout and pick the matching option. If the region doesn't match and the gift can't be accepted, the money returns to your site balance — you lose nothing. Second condition: the game must not already be in the recipient's library — if you already own ARK, order the gift for a "clean" account, otherwise the money likewise returns to your balance.
🖥 Platform, specs and payment
The gift is delivered as the PC (Steam) version for Windows and appears right in your library after acceptance — no keys to enter. The game loves RAM and video memory, especially on large bases and populated servers, so before buying it's worth checking the current system requirements on the Steam page. You can pay with Russian cards, via SBP, with crypto or from your site balance; registration isn't required, and a promo code is applied in a dedicated field at checkout.
🧭 In short, before you buy
ARK: Survival Evolved is a huge, living, endlessly replayable dino survival where you decide whether to play solo, with friends, or wage tribe wars on servers. The base game with The Island map is good for hundreds of hours, and expansions and mods stretch the fun even further. Enter the correct account region and a fresh invite link — and soon after ordering the gift will be in your Steam library. Welcome to the island! 🦖
