ArcaniA is the fourth installment of the cult Gothic RPG series, released in October 2010. It was developed by Spellbound Entertainment and published by JoWooD (the rights later passed to Nordic Games / THQ Nordic). Unlike the early Gothic games with their harsh, almost simulator-like world, ArcaniA is more accessible: a clear combat system, noticeable progression and a bright, colorful fantasy world that's a pleasure to travel through. What the story is about

You play a nameless shepherd from the peaceful island of Feshyr. On the very day he plans to propose to the woman he loves, disaster strikes: his village is burned down by royal troops and his loved ones are killed. An ordinary lad becomes an avenger and sets out for the mainland of Myrtana. The further he goes, the clearer it becomes that something is wrong with King Rhobar III — familiar to series fans from earlier games — and that a far darker force is behind the war. It's a tale of personal revenge that grows into the rescue of an entire kingdom.

How ArcaniA plays

ArcaniA is a third-person action RPG. You decide what kind of hero to be: swing a two-handed sword in melee, pick enemies off from range with a bow, or stack up mana and burn everything with magic. As you progress, new regions of Myrtana open up — from warm coastlines to gloomy caves and snowy lands — while skill upgrades and gear hunting make your hero stronger. The game guides you through its story more tightly than the old Gothic titles, so it's easier to get into even if you never played the earlier parts.

What each option includes

This product comes in several options, so pick the one that suits you:

• ArcaniA — the base game, the fourth Gothic chapter itself.
• ArcaniA: Gold Edition — the base game plus the Fall of Setarrif expansion in one bundle. The sweet spot if you want both the main campaign and its sequel.
• ArcaniA + Gothic Pack — a large bundle: ArcaniA, Fall of Setarrif and the whole series of classics — Gothic 1, Gothic II: Gold Edition, Gothic 3 and Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods Enhanced Edition. Perfect for playing the entire Gothic saga from start to finish.

The Fall of Setarrif expansion

ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif is a standalone expansion released in 2011. Its plot revolves around the city of Setarrif, cut off from the world and seized by a demonic force after the events of the main game. An important point: Fall of Setarrif runs on its own and does not require base ArcaniA. If you do have a finished main game, you can import your leveled-up character and continue with them. It's a short, dense run — a few hours of new content with new locations such as lava caves and dungeons.

How we deliver the gift

The purchase is fulfilled as a Steam Gift. You provide your Steam friend invite link (copy it in your profile via "Add Friend" — it looks like s.team/p/...) and your account region. After payment, our bot adds itself as your friend and sends the gift — this usually takes a couple of minutes. You don't need to accept the friend request, the bot does everything itself, and after delivery it leaves your friend list automatically. Steam Guard is not required for this.

Key conditions on region and library

For Steam to accept the gift, two things must line up. First, your Steam account region must match the gift region — so choose the option for your region at checkout. Second, the game must not already be in your account's library: Steam won't let you accept a gift for a game you already own, and that's the most common reason a gift fails. Also make sure friend requests are allowed in your profile settings, otherwise the bot can't reach you.
